One thing about the name Galanto - Fred once told me it had "nothing to do with being galant", but that it, Galante, is the name of a mountain wildflower near Villalago. The name was either misspelled or otherwise changed here. Not sure about the relations but for example the ship manifest for Carmine's 1901 arrival indicates he was going to "Friends" in Boston, MA. Maybe Fred would know the relationships better.
